Interior design ideas you can actually build

The fortnightly

One email, every other Thursday

Two weeks of thinking about how rooms actually get built, in about four minutes of reading. No affiliate links, no sponsors, no tracking.

What arrives

Three things, and then it stops

The email is short by design. If a subject needs more room than the email gives it, it becomes a guide instead.

One piece of thinking

A single subject worked through properly: a layout problem, a set of clearances that keep catching people out, or a finish decision that is worth more attention than it usually gets.

One detail from the archive

A guide already published that is worth a second look, with a line on why it came back up. Usually because a reader asked something it half answered.

What changed

When a published guide is corrected or substantially updated, the next email says so. Corrections travel with the same reach as the original claim.

What it is not

The things that make most newsletters not worth the inbox

  • Affiliate links, discount codes and sponsored placements.
  • Tracking pixels that report whether you opened it.
  • Daily sends, sale reminders and anything with a countdown in it.
  • Your address, shared with anyone. Ever, for any price.

Cadence

Every other Thursday. That is the whole schedule. There are no extra sends when something is launched, because nothing is being launched at you.

If an issue is not ready, it waits for the next slot rather than going out thin. A fortnight is long enough to have something worth saying and short enough that you remember signing up.

What happens to your address

It is stored in a subscribers table in our own database on our own hosting, along with which page you signed up from. There is no third-party mailing platform sitting in between and no embedded sign-up script loading from another domain.

Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the send list immediately. The privacy policy explains the rest, including how to ask for the record to be deleted outright.

Join the list

One email a fortnight. Leave whenever you like, and nothing follows you out of the door.

We never sell or share your address.
